The ever popular Strawberry is a native of temperate regions, but varieties are available which can be cultivated in subtropical climates. In India it is generally cultivated in the hills, the main centres being Mahabaleshwar (Maharashtra),,Nainital district and Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Kashmir Valley, Bangalore and Kalimpong (West Bengal). |
