When Pune’s business leaders are mentioned, a name that can’t be missed is Manish Jain, MD of KF Bioplants and Joint MD of Kumar Properties. Pune’s leading Marathi daily, Lokmat has published a coffee table book ‘Icon of Pune’ which featured a compilation of the people who shaped the Pune of the 21st century. Very aptly, Manish Jain has been acknowledged as one of the few entrepreneurial minds who dared to be different. The book mentions that despite having a sound backing in construction business. Mr. Jain preferred to struggle with a start-up in a nascent sector like bio-technology and made it India’s largest Bio-tech company. Today Manish Jain is at the helm of both the construction business of Kumar Properties as well has KF Bioplants; managing the role of a leader with acumen and élan.

INNOVATIVE EFFORTS TO GROW STRAWBERRY IN GREENHOUSE
At Melrose Farm, Nilgiris, Ooty Mr. Selvaraj has thought ahead of most growers and started a project on Greenhouse cultivation of Strawberry.
This has given him an edge over unpredictable climate and the increasing demand for fruits out of season. We congratulate Mr. Selvaraj and wish him success in his innovative endeavour.
